The development of the IT society has made it possible to buy and sell online over the Internet without the limitations of time, distance. In Japan, the C2C market has been widely recognized by society, driven by Yahoo! Auction and Mercari, and has taken root in people's lifestyles, leading to the expansion of recycling markets and logistics systems, contributing greatly to the formation of a circular economy. The success of Mercari is largely due to the convenience of smartphones, and it is not only an example of breaking the first-mover advantage, but also a demonstration of the transformation of IT society. However, there are still many challenges in the C2C market. While anyone can easily buy and sell, it is not uncommon to be caught up in fraudulent or poor quality transactions. There is no end to the sale of counterfeit or stolen goods and the fraudulent use of credit cards. There is a limit to what can be done by simply banning or regulating the sale of items, and it will be necessary to educate participants.
