Previous studies take it for granted that foreign comrades forced the Japanese Communist Party [JCP] to adopt the platform and push ahead with radical moves such as armed struggle.\nThis paper, however, aims to identify the JCP's relatively independent roles in formulating its radical revolutionary formula by downplaying foreign pressure. Besides the foreign-born platform, the party then passed a series of resolutions, vividly reflecting its original strategies and interests. A subtle but vital gap between the new platform and other documents can explain Japanese comrades' independence in at least three fields.\nFirst, Moscow's platform referred to general rules without detailed directives like armed struggle strategies and consequently left Japanese communists to marshal local moves. A variety of radical tactics adopted in the resolutions came not from abroad but from the JCP's original formula.\nSecond, the Kremlin gave greater weight to fighting against external enemies (i.e., the Yoshida administration and its local adherents under the rule of US) than to JCP's interparty politics in its platform. In stark contrast, Japanese communists focused more sharply on the latter (i.e., struggle against factional activities) than on the former in their resolutions. In the case of external enemies, Moscow's platform was targeted directly at the Japanese government and indirectly at the US occupational authority while the JCP's previous formula was directed at the US-Japan allied power. Japanese comrades, however, grudgingly accepted and justified Moscow's position.\nThird, Joseph V. Stalin crafted the platform as part of rallying local masses behind Japanese communists to confront the Anglo-American efforts to incorporate Japan into the Western bloc by arranging the \"separate\" peaceful settlement with Tokyo. Facing hardship such as the purge from public service, however, the JCP leaders failed to pass the platform by the San-Francisco peace conference. Hence Stalin's formula largely lost its raison d'etre and substantially allowed local comrades to conduct their own struggle after the US-Japan allied relationship emerged.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_5_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"宇都宮大学国際学部","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"}]},"item_5_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"1342-0364","subitem_source_identifier_type":"PISSN"}]},"item_5_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_ab4af688f83e57aa","subitem_version_type":"AM"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"松村, 史紀","creatorNameLang":"ja"},{"creatorName":"マツムラ, フミノリ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"},{"creatorName":"MATSUMURA, Fuminori","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2023-03-03"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"13420364-54-91_104.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.8 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"本文","url":"https://uuair.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/13652/files/13420364-54-91_104.pdf"},"version_id":"7fcb0bd2-3640-4a81-ba2e-0379ef604fab"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"強制と自主独立の間-日本共産党「軍事方針」をめぐる国際環境(1949~55)-(8)","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"強制と自主独立の間-日本共産党「軍事方針」をめぐる国際環境(1949~55)-(8)","subitem_title_language":"ja"},{"subitem_title":"A“ Military Policy” of the Japanese Communist Party and the Sino-Soviet Alliance,1949-1955: Dependence and Independence in the Eastern Bloc (8)","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"5","owner":"3","path":["944"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2023-03-06"},"publish_date":"2023-03-06","publish_status":"0","recid":"13652","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["強制と自主独立の間-日本共産党「軍事方針」をめぐる国際環境(1949~55)-(8)"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-10-30T02:45:28.188921+00:00"}
